Neutralize your climate impact or go climate positive while helping families in the poorest communities around the world live healthier happier lives.
Our purpose is to transform the lives of families in poor communities around the world by increasing or improving their access to more modern energy services and at the same time reducing greenhouse gas emissions to combat global climate change. Because our projects do both, the offsets we offer to you are Transformation Carbon.
Our projects are registered under specific carbon offset standards and undergo rigorous assessment by independent third party auditors, assuring high quality carbon. Currently, we use the United Nations Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and the Climate Action Reserve (CAR).
Under all the standards we apply, the projects are monitoried closely by our in-country teams and partners and are independently verified by accredited auditing firms under each standard.
All of our projects are published on the different standards' websites where you can see a plethora of project documents. You can find the links on our Transformation Carbon Project pages.
Your purchase of carbon offsets is supporting our Transformation Carbon project portfolio and not one specific project. All carbon offsets purchased will be retired at the end of every calendar year.
Transformation Carbon is owned and operated by C-Quest Capital LLC (CQC), a social impact project developer whose purpose is to transform the lives of families in poor communities around the world by providing them access to sustainable energy services and clean energy technologies and at the same time reducing greenhouse gas emissions to combat global climate change. CQC was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Washington DC, USA with subsidiaries in India, Malaysia and Cambodia.
Developing high impact carbon finance projects under three operational platforms: Cleaner Cooking, Efficient Lighting and Sustainable Energy is core to our business. Unlike most other retail carbon offset platforms, we are not a middle man. We develop and implement our Transformation Carbon projects directly with our own subsidiaries or with our on-the-ground partners.
CQC has active carbon project operations in 8 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and South and Southeast Asia that have thus far improved the lives of over 16 million people and have reduced over 3.5 million tonnes of CO₂ emission reductions.
Ken has over 40 years of experience in developing financially viable sustainable energy and forestry projects in the developing countries. In the World Bank he initiated and led the first global carbon fund, the Prototype Carbon Fund, and managed the growth of the World Bank’s carbon finance business to a total of eight carbon funds and over a billion dollars under management. After leaving the World Bank in 2005, Ken joined management teams in Climate Change Capital in London and Goldman Sachs in New York before accepting the role of building C-Quest Capital as CEO.
